Octavia's darkest secret...

It's been a while since I uploaded a proper comic, but I've been having a bit of art block lately and with the help from the awesome guys in the tacohat army I came up with this. I decided to go with a sort of minimalistic/artsy background since this is pure visual comedy. I hope you all enjoy this fair bit of sillyness!

If a picture is worth 1000 words, then a comic shouldn't really need much extra dialogue to convey the story. You've done it well here. It's a simple theme that's easy to relate to as I'm sure we've all danced like no one was watching at one point or another.

The pacing of the images was effective, giving the viewer time to comprehend that they were indeed watching Octavia get her groove on to "da wubs" before seeing the reactions leading to the final payoff.

The poses are fluid and the expressions seem to take advantage of as many visual cues as they can (ear position, pupil size, body lines) and, as the first two panels effectively demonstrate, closing your eyes and sticking your tongue out instantly make you a better dancer.

The different background color for each panel was interesting, but I couldn't quite figure out if they were supposed to enhance any particular mood for their respective panels, or at least which mood was being conveyed. Vinyl Scratch's face in the fifth panel struck me as a bit memetic (not sure if it is intentionally, but the Spongebob icon used in a comment seemed quite similar) which took a bit away from the originality of it, at least from my point of view.

Overall, very well done, and you certainly achieved what you set out to do.
