This is from last weeks livestream and it took me 7 days to make this... and it was totally worth it! I tried a request voting system and the combination 'Applejack and an M1A1 abrams tank' came out as the winner with over 25 votes. I couldn't have been happier to start such a great drawing. The drawing was requested by
I really enjoyed drawing 'Dash squadron' so I was excited about drawing more ponies and war machinery, the combination just works really well in my opinion.

My style and skills were pushed to their limits while making this and I tried many new things. I feel like this is my most epic piece so far. I hope I can keep making more of these because they are really fun to do...

Also, I'd like to dedicate this drawing to all the military bronies who are out there fighting for their country. In particular my friend and rival
Wonderfully done texture and lighting, the smoke from the fires in the background and flare look stunning, and the tank itself is prefect. Applejack has appropriate coloring and her gear looks good, but her figure, namely her neck and shoulders, seem a little distorted. Applejacks neck and head don't seem to fit quite right with her body, almost as if her body is being viewed from a different angle than her head. Your attention to detail is quite thorough and everything else in the piece looks wonderful. Overall it is a very good piece and I give it a 3.8/5
Wow. Well let's start with the concept. The idea of Ponies having to do with military vehicles and the like is not entirely new, but so far I have not seen one with such an amazing execution as this. The gear looks practical and realistic and the tank looks as if its just about to fire a 120mm round into an unsuspecting bunker. The fire coming off the grenade is strikingly real and at the same time beautiful, and the smoke in the background hints at unseen action. And then there's the outlines. Thick enough to remind you of the edges but not so thick it distracts you from the artwork. The scratches on the hat and details in the uniform and the tank stood out to me. Including Applejack's cutie mark was a nice touch as well. Overall, beautiful work. I expect to see more amazing works from you very soon
